Description
Two Victorian style grape service pieces including a pair of sterling grape shears and a silver-plated centerpiece stand. Grape shears with steel blades and sterling handles decorated with repoussé grapes and vines, hallmarked on the handles. Centerpiece stand with five grape hooks, stamped with model number 889 and a maker’s mark on the underside edge of the tray. Shears 116 grams total. Centerpiece stand 11″ H x 10 1/2″ W x 8″ D.
Condition report:
The silver handles of the shears show minor tarnish in the crevices. The steel blades show significant oxidation, pitting, and surface rust. The silver-plated stand is in fair to good condition with widespread moderate-to-heavy tarnish and visible wear to the silver plating on the central support and high points of the repoussé work.
