Samuel Arlent Edwards mezzotint engraving portrait of a woman after Thomas Gainsborough’s Lady Sheffield, pencil signed lower right and signed and dated 1900 in the plate below the image, 14 3/4" x 6 7/8" (with frame 22 1/2" x 14 1/8"); hand painted fan after Jean-Honore Fragonard’s The Swing, signed illegibly on right, fan 9 1/2" x 17 1/4" (with frame 16" x 23"). Some discoloration in margins of mezzotint, minor chips and losses to frame; minor tear to fan on one side, chips and repair to gilt decoration on right side of frame, splits to bow decoration on top of frame.
