Lot 181:
Louis XV style bureau de pente or slant front top lady’s writing desk. 19th century. Cabriole legs, brass ormolu mounts, avian and floral form marquetry. Key is included. Wear and dirt to slant front and top of desk. Heavy veneer loss throughout desk, especially to top and on front left and right legs, with some veneer in place but peeling. Splitting and cracking to veneer and wood throughout desk, especially prominent on wood above rear legs. Lock is slightly hard to open with key. Wear to wood inside interior of desk. Repairs to hinges of slant front, with right hinge misaligned.
33 3/4" H x 28 1/2" L x 17" D. Depth with slant front open is 26".
