Orientalist gouache, portrait of a man. Signed with illegible artist’s monogram and dated 1870 lower left. 11 1/8" x 9 1/8". Unframed. With wear and paint loss to edges, throughout background above figure, and horizontally across bottom of figure, tear to paper lower left, lower right corner missing, indentations and crease to corners and along edges.
