14 Japanese Kutani porcelain plates. Various scenes of scholars, birds, flowers, landscapes and warriors on horseback in red, brown and gilt. All with various Kutani marks in red or black on the undersides. Plate with 3 small birds 9 5/8"-diameter. All with crazing throughout; 8 plates with lines, rim chips and chips to the feet. Provenance: Estate of Princess Maria "Mimi" Romanoff.
