After / Attributed to Francesco Guardi (Italian, 1712-1793). Oil on canvas, obelisk in a Venetian lagoon. Unsigned. Gump’s, San Francisco label on verso. 16 1/2" x 20 1/2" (with frame 23 3/8" x 27 1/4"). Inpainting throughout, crazing throughout, heavily varnished; canvas loose in frame. Provenance: Estate of Princess Maria "Mimi" Romanoff.
