Description
Large hand-knotted wool pile runner with a Northwest Persian tribal design. Red-to-orange palette with natural color variation. Multiple sections decorated with woven Persian script and dates. 5 x 19 feet.
Condition report:
There is pronounced color deviation throughout the red field. Minor wear to the pile is present, along with some shortening and wear to the fringe at both ends. The selvedges show minor fraying. Small area of localized pile loss or wear within a blue section of a medallion.
