August Uncurated Summer Auction
Lot 119:
Description
C.J. Yao (Chinese-American, 1941-2001). Pair of Photorealist lithographs, city street scenes, 1980-1984. Both pencil-signed lower right. One is numbered 22/60 lower left. 26″ x 36 1/2″ image size, 29 1/2″ x 41 1/4″ sheet size. Location: CR Drawer 5
Condition report:
Both prints exhibit light toning, primarily along the margins. There are minor handling creases consistent with age and unframed storage. Some ghosting and light surface soiling are visible on the reverse of the sheets. The Greenwich Savings Bank print appears to have an unevenly trimmed edge on one side, while the other retains deckled edges.
