Description
This walnut desk box, circa 1900, features an arched silhouette with a retractable tambour slatted lid and a single lower drawer. The side panels are decorated with inlaid brass wire and sheet metal in stylized floral designs, framed by a thin inlaid border. Stamped brass trim with a repeating geometric pattern accents the edges of the drawer and sides. The drawer is fitted with a small brass pull-knob. The interior is lined with a dark purple velvet-textured material.

Condition report:
Fair to good condition with overall surface wear, scratches, and discoloration to the tambour slats. There is a visible chip at the bottom right corner of the drawer face and partial detachment of the stamped brass borders.
