Description
A dark-patinated bronze sculpture depicting a reclining lion mounted atop a multi-tiered architectural pedestal base. The pedestal features borders and moldings of yellow-tan banded stone, likely giallo antico, surrounding central panels of Portoro marble, characterized by a black ground with prominent white and gold veining. No maker’s marks, signatures, or foundry stamps are visible on the piece. 10 1/2″ H x 12″ W x 4″ D.

Condition report:
The bronze figure and plinth exhibit a dark, even patina. The stone pedestal shows a small chip on the lower edge of the yellow stone base. Minor surface scratches are visible on the underside. Overall in good condition.
