Condition report:
The contemporary leather binding shows heavy wear with significant scuffing, surface loss, and rounding to the corners. The spine is cracked vertically with leather loss at the head and tail, though the gilt-lettered label remains largely intact. Internally, the text block exhibits heavy foxing, dampstaining, and toning throughout. Several pages are dog-eared, and there is fraying and minor loss to the edges of the preliminary and terminal leaves. The front hinge is tender, and the ownership label on the flyleaf shows minor staining.
