Description

Hermes silk scarf in the Railing pattern, designed by Joachim Metz. The nautical-themed design features a central medallion of a porthole view overlooking a seascape with seagulls, surrounded by shells and twisted rope. The four corners illustrate detailed sections of ship railings, each bearing a ribbon inscribed with ship names: CALEDONIA, TRISTAN, VICTOIRE, and SKIPPER. The border is composed of a golden twisted rope design set against a dual-toned blue background. The scarf is constructed from 100% silk with hand-rolled edges. Marked Railing Hermes-Paris in the central medallion and Hermes near the border. A white fabric care tag is sewn into the hem reading Made in France Soie 100% Silk Dry Clean Only. 34″ L x 34″ W. Location: 15C

Condition report:

The scarf is in good condition with moderate creasing and fold lines consistent with storage. A small dark smudge or speck is visible on the light blue background near the bottom edge. The hand-rolled hems appear intact with no visible fraying or pulls.
