15 1/4" L x 9" W x 5 1/2" H, opens to 19 3/4" W.

Hardware removed on lid. Discoloration to the velvet interior, indents to the material. Scuffs and cracks to lid. Crack to box, lower left. Corner missing back right. Letter dated 1895.
