English lap desk, brass inlays, mounts and hardware. Lock marked J. Bramah. With side drawer. Closed 19 7/8"W x 11"D x 7 3/8"H, open 19 7/8"W x 22 1/4"D x 5 3/4"H. Scratches, chips and minor losses to wood on lid and throughout, scratches and losses to patina on brass, split to wood at center of front, chips to wood around escutcheon, chips to wood at top of secret drawer from locking mechanism, brass dented and separating at one corner, brass dented along back, brass dented on one side, interior desk detached on both sides, leather torn at seam and losses to leather throughout, hardware missing from interior of lid, crack to wood at one end of desk, chips to wood at corners of interior desk, lock untested (no key).
