Alfred Wierusz Kowalski (Poland, 1849-1915). Oil on canvas troika being pursued by wolves, in winter landscape. Signed lower left A. Wierusz Kowalski. In ornate gilt frame. 21 1/2" x 31 1/4" (with frame 33 1/2" x 43 1/4). Crazing to two brown horses, relined, repair below front horse’s rear foot; chip to lower left corner of frame.
