Publisher William Blackwood and Sons, Edinburgh and London; printed by William Blackwood and Sons, Edinburgh. With Bound by Burn 37 & 38 Kirby St label. With 16 page Messrs Blackwood and Sons’ Publications advertising catalog at rear and 4 pages for Autobiography of Dr. Alexander Carlyle at front. Dark orange cloth boards and spine with gilt lettering. 5 1/4" x 8".
Corners bumped, shelf wear, wear to edges and spine, some fraying to cloth at corners and edges, scratches to front board, some foxing, binding loose, notation in pencil on front pastedown, cloth torn at bottom of spine.
Provenance: Private collection, New York City; thence by descent.
