Riceyman Steps. First edition, 1923. Publisher Cassel and Company Ltd.; printed in Great Britain. With illustrated paper dust jacket. Dust jacket torn at spine, corners and edges, creases throughout; front cover dented along top and bottom edges, minor staining to front, minor shelf wear and bumped corners, notation in pencil rear pastedown; foxing to fore edge, pastedowns and endpapers and inside of dust jacket, some foxing throughout text.
The Old Wives’ Tale. First edition, 1908. Publisher Chapman & Hall, Ltd., London; printed by William Clowes and Sons, London. In red cloth cover, with red cloth and brown leather faux book slipcase. Corners bumped and cover dented, shelf wear, wear to edges and corners, fraying to cloth at spine, notations in pencil on front endpaper, binding loose, foxing throughout; slight wear to slipcase.
Provenance: both private collection, New York City; thence by descent.
