Lot 45:
A pair of oil on canvases depicting a lion and lioness in a shared scene in gilt frames, painted by Ralph Bowen (British, late 19th- early 20th century). Bowen hailed from Nottingham, England, which is stamped on the verso of the canvas where it was originally sold. Paintings are signed in the lower right and lower left respectively. Paintings are in good condition, and frames have been previously restored and touched up with some minor losses to the gesso. Both paintings have evidence of gilt paint along the edges. Each measures 13" x 17".
