Various letters (4 Letters) and documents to Kathleen Barlow and David Lipset about Louis Pierre Ledoux’s photographs, and their own research amongst the Murik in the 1980s.
Includes the Barlow/Lipset manuscript dated 24 January 1982 "Other Men’s Goods, Other Men’s Wives: Murik Migration and Resettlement", and David Lipset’s presentation entitled "Siman: Focus of Murik Primogenture" discussing ‘siman’ which are ceremonial valuables owned by the clan communally, including pigs teeth, and baskets, presented at 81st Meeting of the American Anthropological Association, Dec. 3-7 1982 in Washington D.C.
Kathleen Barlow and David Lipset (wife-husband) conducted research in Murik Lakes region in the 1980s. They have since published on the culture.
