Swedish silver compote. Scalloped dish with intricately carved foliate motif on the inner relief, braided flourishes on the rim. Coved rocaille shaft, footed base with etched flower and foliate embellishments. Marks denote the following information, Swedish, Stockholm. Maker’s mark: "CH" marked on bottom of dish, bottom of shaft, on base. Abrasive damage, weathering, wear from age. 9 3/8" H x 10 1/2" Diameter. 664.5 grams.
