A 1909 Mejji Restoration era silk scroll, manufactured by IIda and Co, presented to the United States by the Honorary Commercial Commissioners of Japan. The 1909 Business Mission was a three month cross country tour taken by Japanese business leaders to better understand American Philanthropy and Entrepreneurship and to cultivate good relationships between the two countries. It was headed by Shibusawa Eiichi. Silk scroll with gold border and embroidered decree , Mt. Fuji crest with the Japanese and American Flags crossed with a ribbon in front as sign of unity, 1845 and 1909 on each side. Mounted on board with plastic covering inside a plastic sleeve.
