Turquoise glaze with lotus flowers symbolizing where the animal lived and also life and death. Smaller reproduction with mouth open. Crazing throughout, smaller hippo missing a foot. Both marked underneath with "Metropolitan Museum" Copyright and "Italy A.2050" 8" L x 2 1/3" W x 4 1/2" H
