Upholstered floral cushions are removable and were most likely made and added to the chairs in the Mid 20th Century. Chairs were originally retailed by Michael Butler, a collector and restorer of antique furniture and collectibles. They operated at three different locations from 1877 to 1912. The original label is still intact on one chair and incomplete on a few others, and the address indicates that these chairs were sold by M. Butler anywhere from 1904 to 1912, at their Upper Abbey Street warehouse in Dublin. Chairs have restoration to structure with newer parts. Chairs have scuffs and wormholing on underside consistent with their age. Slight loss to veneer on top rail of one. Arm chair: 40" H x 35" L x 25" D Open chair: 40" H x 25" L x 23" D
