Death of a Salesman first edition and letter. American, 1949. Written by Arthur Miller, published by Viking Press, 1949. Included with the book is a letter from April 15th, 1950 written by Henry Senber, Community Relations for "Death of a Salesman. In it, he advocates for the book and play’s impact on the understanding of "mental hygiene" at the time, the precursor to the modern day mental health and rehabilitation services of today. Senber includes excerpts from a speech and article which both discuss and praise "Death of a Salesman" for its "visualized psychoanalytic interpretation woven into reality." Wear and oxidization to letters. Wear and loss to dust jacket, personal writing on endpaper. Book measures 8 1/4" H x 6" L x 1" W
