After Soami (Japanese, 1485-1525) ink on hanging silk scroll. Painted in the Southern Chinese school style. Red seal lower right, "Shinso". Bone knob. Top knob missing. 17 1/4" x 12" (scroll 51" x 17") Toning to paper, tear to silk upper center. Wood case with hide strap: 19 1/2" L x 2 1/2" W x 2 1/4" H.
