Japanese Meiji period ebonized carved dragon bench. Late 19th / early 20th century. High relief carvings of dragon and phoenix on pierced and arched back, curving front with Greek key motif relief, carved dragon and pearl arms, cabriole legs. Stretcher and seat repaired. Splitting to phoenix, wear and losses to front, back, legs, feet and arms. Looseness to arms.
