Manner of Claude Joseph Vernet (French, 1714-1789) oil on canvas. Harbor scene. Paper label on verso in French "Pecette Particuliere du Nord Chapelle" on the outside with "Dolane de Paris" on the interior. Sight: 28" x 37 1/2", frame: 33" x 42 3/4". Paint loss lower right. Losses to gilt on frame cracks to frame upper center and lower center, chips to gilt throughout. Restoration to the center of the painting.
