Aesthetic Movement Classical Revival bookcase attributed to John Jelliff (American, Newark, New Jersey, 1813-1893). Circa 1880s-1890s. Ornately carved and stained walnut and burl, crown with fretwork, classical goddess supports on Ionic column capitals, three lower drawers, three glass doors with two shelves in each section. Loss to veneer on sides of center bottom drawer, backing of base repaired, some scratches and dings to top of base on left.
