English lap desk with mother-of-pearl and wood inlays, leather writing surface, 3 covered internal compartments and 2 crystal ink bottles, 16"L x 10"D x 3 1/2"H (open 20 1/4"); mother-of-pearl, brass and wood inlaid glove box, 11"L x 4 1/4"D x 3 1/2"H. Splits to top of desk, section of inlay missing, chips to finish, wood loss at inside corner of lid, wear to leather writing surface, 1 interior separator detached (piece present), chips to rims of both ink bottles, one bottle cracked; scratches, splits and small chips to lid of glove box, chips at corners, loss to veneer along bottom edge.
