Fraying and wear to spines, corners bumped and fraying, some wear to covers, bindings loose, front and back boards separating from spine at pastedowns, some foxing, notations in pencil front endpaper volume 1, small tear front endpaper volume 1.
Provenance: Sotheby Parke Bernet Inc., New York, sale 4314, lot number 114, 11/27/1979; private collection, New York City; thence by descent.
