Principles of Political Economy, With Some of Their Applications to Social Philosophy, in 2 volumes. First edition, 1848. John W. Parker, West Strand, London; printed by Harrison and Co., London. Nathan of Churt bookplates on front pastedowns. "Works Published by John W. Parker" at the rear of both volumes. Some wear and discoloration to covers, corners bumped, minor fraying and wear to spines and edges, tears at front pastedowns, wear and losses to paper labels on spines, notations in ink on front pastedowns of both volumes, tears to plastic dust jackets.

Autobiography. First edition, 1873. Longmans, Green, Reader, and Dyer, London; printed by Savill, Edwards and Co. Front cover detached at spine, corners bumped, leather at spine worn, shelf wear, wear to edges and corners, some discoloration to end pages.

Provenance: both Swann sale 858 via Ximenes Rare Books, New York, 12/23/1971; private collection, New York City; thence by descent.
