Front and back boards partially detached, front binding repaired, front endpaper and half title page detached from binding, binding loose, foxing, staining and discoloration to pages, wax residue to front and rear pastedowns, wear to edges and corners, fraying and tears to spine, losses to gilt on fore edge, page ix of contents repaired, page xv of memoir detached.
