With illustrations by John Leech. "Stave I" heading. E.F. Gooch Booksellers, London label front pastedown. Brown cloth boards with gilt lettering. In red cloth case and red cloth and leather slipcase with gilt lettering.

Corners bumped and fraying, tears and fraying to spine, wear to spine and boards, top of spine chipped, some staining to front board, some foxing, name written in pencil front endpaper, pastedowns torn at spine; some wear to leather on slipcase, corners bumped.
