George Cruikshank original tracing in pencil and watercolor "The Streets in Morning" for "Sketches by Boz Illustrative of Everyday Life and Everyday People" labeled original tracing and signed George Cruikshank. Drawing 4" x 3 1/2" (sheet 7 1/2" x 5").
Character sketch initialed lower left possibly JL (John Leech), with illegible notations in pencil lower margin. 10" x 7".
Letter from Charles Dickens to De la Rue & Co. dated Devonshire Terrace, May 28, 1850. Unsigned. 7" x 4 1/4". Provenance Parke Bernet Sale No. 3107, 2/2/1971; private collection, New York City; thence by decent.
Cruikshank tracing has tears to edges and corners, horizontal crease through the center, some discoloration to paper; some foxing to character sketch.
