Louis XV style marble top pedestal or sculpture plinth. Late 19th/early 20th century. Inlaid burled wood veneer and brass ormolu mounts. Wear and repairs to marble, with crack and chipping on one edge. Splitting, cracks and losses to wood and veneer throughout pedestal. Chip to wood on molding on outside of marble. Piece of veneer peeling up from one side.
