After Thomas Cole (England / American, 1801-1848). Engraving The Voyage of Life: Youth. Engraved by James Smillie. Published 1850, for the members of the American Art Union. Image 15 1/8" x 22 7/8" (with frame 23 5/8" x 29 7/8"). Staining and discoloration in margins and into image, losses to image upper left and into center; scratch to glass, scratches and minor chips to frame.
