After Guillaume Coustou the Elder (French, 1677-1746). Pair of patinated bronze Marly horse sculptures after the original marble statues commissioned by Louis XV for the Chateau de Marly. Each signed on the base Coustou. 21"L x 23"H. Some oxidation and discoloration, white spots present on both, 2 small cracks to the base of one. From the collection of a prominent Connecticut family.
