9 pieces Sumida ware Japanese pottery. 2 ashtrays with applied figures on rims; ashtray with applied figure of a child on rim, signed with Koko seal; oval dish with six applied figures on rim, signed on the underside with incised Ryosai mark; oval "pool" dish with applied figures of children on rim and crackle glass interior, signed on the underside with incised Ryosai mark; lidded censer with applied figure, signed on the underside with incised Koko mark; lidded box with three applied monkeys; monkey on stump vase; lidded box with applied monkey decoration and monkey finial on lid, signed on the underside with incised Ryosai mark. Oval "pool" dish 6 5/8"L, round ashtray 3 1/8"H x 4 1/4"W.
Flake to rim of diamond ashtray, chip to robe of figure on rectangular ashtray, round ashtray chip to child’s hand, six figure bowl minor chips to arm of one figure, censer hand chipped on figure, monkey box one monkey missing hand and foot and large chip to underside of lid.
