Aesthetic Movement Chinoiserie bamboo vanity or washstand. Late 19th century. Bamboo frame, black and red lacquer, tooled leather sides and interior. Door opens to reveal storage with one shelf. Wear, scuffs, and scratches throughout bamboo of vanity. Wear and desilvering to mirror. Split to bamboo on left side of vanity. Wear, scratches, chips and losses to lacquer on desk portion of vanity. Large cracks, splitting, and puncture to wood on door of vanity. Peg door pull is loose, as is door itself on top hinge. Wear and scuffs to leather. Crack to lacquer on top tier of vanity. Bent bamboo "rungs" on desk section of vanity are loose.21" W x 15 1/2" D x 64 5/8" H. 27 lbs.
