Mid Century Modern platform sofa in the style of Adrian Pearsall (Trumansburg, NY, 1925-2011). 20th century. Veneered and black painted pressboard platform base supporting purple sofa. As is, with heavy fading and wear to upholstery on back of sofa. Staining and scratches to wood tops of left and right sides of platform. Zipper on sofa cushion is broken and does not zip. Scratches, scuffs, chips and losses to veneer and pressboard throughout length and corners of platform base. Large loss to veneer on left edge of platform. Platform is in two pieces joined together by 7 screws which are provided with the lot. 168 1/8" W x 32" D x 28 1/4" H. Left side of platform is 25" W, right side is 34" W. Sofa and platform weighs over 250 lbs.
