Louis XV Provincial bureau de pente writing desk. French, 19th century. Desk in slant front form with four outer drawers, the interior with leather inset writing surface and four drawers. Interior of desk contains hidden compartment concealed with sliding panel. Two original keys are included. Faux central outside drawer. Wear and staining to leather inset. Wear, scuffs and scratches throughout interior of desk. Chips and losses to top shelves on interior of desk. Chips and nicks to wood on legs of desk. Wear to wood throughout exterior of desk. Slant front lid does not close completely flush. 32 1/8" W x 16 5/8" D x 38 1/2" H. 52 lbs.
