19th century double image fan. Hand painted scene, interior of a shoe shop with two smaller scenes, Au Soulier de Cendrillon and Stanislas Bottier on either side; verso verso with a Cupid outside the window. Silk with gauze, sequins and gilt decoration, carved mother of pearl sticks and guards with Cupid. Center interior scene signed G. Lasellaz. Attributed to Duvelleroy but unsigned, French for the English market. Circa 1895. Fan approximately 8"H x 15 1/2"W open. Right guard separated from fan, tears to gauze throughout and creasing at pleats, minor tears to pleats at top edge, minor losses to gilt decoration on guards and sticks, 2 repairs to detached guard.
