19th century silk gauze leaf fan with lace borders. Hand painted scene seated woman with admirers in landscape, signed along left side Vanerd. Painted sticks and guards. Fan approximately 10"H x 19"W open. Discoloration and staining throughout, tears at pleats, holes and tears in silk and gauze, some fraying to lace border, minor paint loss to decoration on guards and sticks.
