6 pieces Sumida ware Japanese pottery. Pitcher and 5 mugs. Pitcher with red body, blue Inoue Ryosai seal, 9 1/4"H; 5 mugs with red-orange decoration, 4 with incised Ryosai marks and 1 with illegible mark, largest 4 3/4"H. Repair to rim of pitcher and chips to figures, losses to red and red-orange paint on all, crazing to glaze on rims of all 5 mugs.
