Lot 190:
Robert Bonfils (France, 1886-1971). Vues de Paris, book of 16 color woodcuts. Number 29 from the numbered edition of 300. Each woodcut signed in the plate. Cloth and board portfolio, woodcuts on Alfa paper and mounted on Arches paper. Each sheet approximately 9 7/8" x 12 7/8" without mounts, portfolio 18" x 12 5/8". Folio with staining, discoloration, fraying, warping, tears at spine, fraying to ties, flaps all torn and separating; mounts and sheets all with some foxing and toning.
From the estate of Maurice Binder. Born in 1918, Maurice Binder was an American film title designer, best known for his work on 14 James Bond films, including Dr. No. He died in 1991 at the age of 72.
