Carved wooden polychromatic Chinese Qing Dynasty style warrior on horse sculpture. 18th century style warrior mounted on rearing horse holding guandao (halberd) on wood stand. Red wax stamp with Chinese mark on horse’s right knee. Guandao is removable from hand. Heavy wear, losses and chips to wood and paint throughout sculpture. Wood of base is distended and cracked. Splits and cracks to tail and rear of horse. Right hand of warrior is separated. Split to wood on front edge of base. Repairs to wood on center of guandao. Cracks to wood on skirt and tunic of warrior. Splits and cracking to wood on carved dragon portion of guandao. Crack to wood on billowing sleeve of warrior. One set of carved bells are separated from body of horse. Carved "blade" of guandao separates from pole section.
