January New Year Uncurated Estate Finds
Lot 201:
Frank Vincent Dumond (American, 1865-1951). Set of 10 drawings on brown paper, mostly studies and portraits of women in various poses. Pencil and charcoal, some with body color. All unsigned. Couple reading with additional sketch of a chair on the mount, study of men with tools with notation in pencil on verso "These drawings were executed by my father, Frank Vincent Du Mond, as sketches for an illustrated story in Harper’s Weekly Magazine – in 1912. Elizabeth DuMond Perry." Woman with shell, seated woman and woman with flowers all with Frank Vincent Dumond estate stamp on verso. All unframed, matted and affixed to the mount along the top edge. Woman with mandolin sheet 22 1/2" x 14 1/4" (with mat 26" x 18"). Woman with flowers in hair staining across lower portion, study of men loss to paper lower center, woman with mandolin staining throughout. All with minor creases to edges and corners, all with tears and losses to edges and corners, most with pinholes at corners.
