John Senex A Map of Louisiana and the River Mississipi [sic], London, 1721, engraving with hand coloring; English translation after Guillaume Delisle’s 1718 map. Lower right reads "This map of the Mississippi is humbly inscribed to William Law of Lanreston". Sight 18 1/2" x 21 3/4" (with frame 29 1/4" x 32 1/4"). Original vertical crease at center and additional vertical crease at left, minor creases along left side and small tear from left edge, toning and discoloration throughout.
