March Uncurated Spring Estate Finds
Lot 103:
Seymour Easton (British, 1859-1916). Arts and Crafts revolving bookcase. Early 1900s. Architectural form bookcase with shingled roof inscribed "The Tabard Inn" on top, with cupboards, doors and shelf spaces. One door is inscribed "The Tabard Inn Library Exchange Station" with brass hinges and slot, with a brass tag on inside marked 870. Carved coats of arms and literature genres throughout sides of bookcase. Large crack to wood throughout side with "Exchange Station" door. Heavy scratches and gouges to wood throughout bottom shelf of aforementioned side. Chips to wood on edges of sides and cubby holes. Remnants of candle wax on glass of one door. Original key is no longer present. Chips and losses throughout wood on legs.
