2 limited edition Shakespeare volumes. Shakespeare’s Comedy of As You Like It, with 40 tipped in illustrated plates by Hugh Thomson, The Musson Book Company Limited, printed T. and A. Constable, numbered 0000 from the limited edition of 500 and signed by the artist; Shakespeare’s Comedy of The Merchant of Venice, with 36 tipped in illustrated plates by Sir James D. Linton P.R.I., Hodder & Stoughton Publisher, printed T. and A. Constable, numbered 0000 from the limited edition of 500 and signed by the artist. Both cream boards, gilt lettering, deckle edge pages. Both with staining, discoloration and scratches to the covers and spines, light toning to the pages, corners bumped on both and denting to spines, both with notation in pencil "signed by the artist" on the front endpaper. Warping to covers. Each 11 3/8" x 9".
